Travis Ratliff - Assistant Director of Bands
Travis is in his second year at Adamson High School as Assistant Director, and sixth year overall. Prior to coming to Adamson, Travis spent two years at Splendora Junior High School in Splendora ISD in Houston, TX and two years at Calallen Middle School in Calallen ISD in Corpus Christi, TX. While at Calallen MS, Travis formed a new jazz ensemble program.
Travis is a native of El Paso and Austin, Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas, where he studied music education with a concentration in trombone. While at UNT, he was a member of the Concert and Symphonic bands, UNT Basketball Band & Green Brigade Marching Band under the director of Dr. Nicholas Williams, as well as various trombone choirs and small ensembles. Travis is also a brother in the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. During his time at UNT, he marched two years with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps from Santa Clara, CA as a lead baritone player.
Travis is excited to be back in the DFW area, and is in his second year teaching at Adamson High School. Travis currently resides in Farmers Branch, TX with his girlfriend Courtney and his daughter Riley.

Jorge Martinez - Assistant Director of Bands, Garcia Middle School
Jorge Martinez is in his second year serving as the Assistant Band Director at Garcia Middle School. Before joining Garcia MS, Martinez taught music production at Cedar Creek Intermediate in Bastrop ISD. He also worked and team taught with the band directors.
Jorge is originally from Garland, Texas. After graduating from North Garland High School. Jorge then went on to study trombone under James Decker at Texas Tech University.
